MY NUMBER ONE TRACK OF 2008

Always wanted to do this, but it inevitably comes down to a list of 20+ tracks that I can never choose between. So I let iTunes decide for me this year! Sorted my tracks by play count and found the most played track that was added to my music library in the past 12 months - this is most played on my iTunes as well, not most played in the nightclubs. This week wasn't the best week for new music, except for the Nitti track and now this one from Trai D feat. Fat Pimp and Pimp C, Booty From Behind. It actually samples Pimp C (who died a year ago at the messed up age of 33, R.I.P.) from the UGK classic Front, Back & Side to Side. It could be the lead off track for my set tonight at XO! Thanks to Jasmine Byrne for providing the booty to the right.

No idea why I like this track so much but since it's entered my ears it's buried itself deep into my brain. For some reason it reminds me of snap music crossed with mid-1990s R&B, which is a very, very good thing. Listen to Do It by Nitti feat. Gucci Mane and 9th Ward below.
