This is my dream night right here. The few not so cryptic clues I've been dropping on the blog about the new club I'd be working were all about Bada Bing Sundays. Basically, I'll be doing a club set in a strip club, and it will be set up like half-nightclub, half-strip club. It kicks off in a few weeks every Sunday night but for the next couple of Sundays I'll be there getting a feel for the place (pardon the pun). Get yourself down there!
As a kid, I grew up listening to Jimi Hendrix and 2 Live Crew/Luther Campbell a.k.a. Uncle Luke. Now here they are on the same damn track? Listen to I Wanna Rock by Harlem's Cash and your mind will be officially blown. It's ridiculous! Oh and expect some hoops content on the blog soon, I'm actually back playing again and even beat an ex-NBL player in a game of 2-on-2 tonight! He wasn't trying hard and my body is wrecked right now, but I'm going to gloat for a while longer though.

Not saying I'll never play this at XO, but this will definitely be on high rotation in Casa de Smith for a while. (I can't speak Spanish so I probably mangled the syntax of "Casa de Smith", sorry Spaniards!) Baby Baby Damn by Jamie Foxx simply is a coooooooool track. If I ever drop R.Kelly's Bump n Grind in the club again then I might just have to mix this out of it. Oh and Jamie, sorry for using the old school pic to the right, I could have used this pic of you looking like a pimp, but that wouldn't have been any fun now would it.

This has been posted before, but it needs to go back up here this week for XO's third birthday celebrations. Welcome to XO by Fuzz Tha Bossmang quickly turned into XO's "national anthem". I generally play it every week, and if I don't then DJ Carl Alley does. For some reason whenever I hear this track at home or on my iPod I smell alcohol, weird.
This track has a 43 per cent chance of leading off the hitting tonight at XO (ie. it could be the first song I play). I've Got The Power by Ya Boy - just quietly, the worst MC name ever. If I forget to play this you have my permission to randomly slap me in the face when my set is finished. If I play it twice you have my permission to buy me a drink.
Almost forgot about this! Bone Thugs n Harmony were at XO last Saturday after their concert with Snoop and Ice Cube. They were super-cool, drinking and chatting and taking photos and generally being top blokes.
Thank God Obama won the election - otherwise this week at XO would have been a rather sour night! Side note - why is there so much anti-Obama and anti-US talk on Facebook at the moment? Is it cool to not like Obama now? XO guestlist - click here!
This track was on the XO podcast a week or two ago - Paula DeAnda feat. Yung Joc, Stunned Out. I'm throwing it up here again because it's growing on me like triflin' hoez on US touring artist balls. Also, it uses a great sample, Nena's 99 Luftballons, which then reminded me of the Jay-Z/Nena mashup 99 Luft Problems. Listen to them both below!
