I GOT
Hmm, this trend of sampling dance music in hip-hop continues. I haven't hit up my electronic music friends to identify this sample (it's 1am so they'd be off chops on pills right now - way to generalise!), but I'm sure it's something fairly mainstream-ish because the melody sounds familiar. This is from the new Three 6 Mafia album Last 2 Walk, it's called I Got, featuring Pimp C and Project Pat. DJ Carl Alley dropped it last week at XO and I'm going to steal his thunder and play it right before he jumps on the decks this Saturday!
